Hyderabad Police Arrest 16 Suspected Drug Peddlers
Hyderabad police have arrested 16 suspects allegedly involved in the illegal trade of narcotics, mainpuri, and gutka during raids conducted across several police jurisdictions over the past 24 hours.
According to a police spokesman, six suspected drug peddlers were taken into custody from different areas, with 4.195 kilograms of narcotic substances recovered from their possession. Separate cases have been registered against them at the concerned police stations.
In a separate crackdown, 10 suspects allegedly involved in the manufacture and sale of mainpuri and gutka have been arrested. The suspects were booked in nine separate First Information Reports (FIRs), while 392.4 kilograms of mainpuri and 471.9 kilograms of raw materials were recovered from their possession.
The spokesman stated that police also apprehended five suspects allegedly involved in the sale of locally produced liquor, commonly known as moonshine.
Police officials emphasized that these actions are part of ongoing efforts to curb the illegal trade of narcotics and other hazardous substances in the city and bring those involved to justice.
