ICT Police Promote 11 Sub-inspectors to Inspector Rank
Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police Recognize Merit and Seniority
ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 11th Sep, 2026) Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police have elevated 11 Sub-Inspectors (BS-14) to the Inspector (BS-16) rank, based on their outstanding performance, service history, and seniority-cum-fitness, following approval by IGP Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.
A spokesperson for ICT Police informed APP on Friday that a formal notification was issued following recommendations from the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC), which convened at the Central Police Office, Islamabad.
The notification names the following Sub-Inspectors as promoted to the officiating Inspector rank:
- Ghulam Mustafa (No. 503/ID)
- Qasim Zia (No. 506/ID)
- Muhammad Imran (No. 512/ID)
- Muhammad Binyamin Gohar (No. 520/ID)
- Asif Ali (No. 524/ID)
- Shoukat Mehmood (No. 525/ID)
- Muhammad Imran (No. 331/ID)
- Asim Ghaffar Shah (No. 531/ID)
- Haider Ali (No. 532/ID)
- Ghulam Sarwar (No. 535/ID)
- Mateen Chaudhry (No. 774/ID)
IGP Rizvi emphasized that the welfare and professional growth of police officers and personnel are top priorities, and effective measures are being taken to address their needs. He highlighted that merit-based promotions, transparency, and welfare initiatives are integral parts of Islamabad Police policy, encouraging officers with strong performance and ensuring their well-being.
The IGP further stated that continuous focus on the welfare, advancement, and professional capacity of the force will boost morale and enhance overall performance. He reaffirmed Islamabad Police’s commitment to maintaining a fair and transparent promotion process.
