IDAP Board Approves Development Projects, Cancer Treatment Equipment Procurement

LAHORE: The 79th meeting of the Infrastructure Development Authority Punjab (IDAP) Board approved several development and healthcare-related projects, including construction works at Film City, residential accommodation for doctors at General Hospital Layyah, and procurement of advanced cancer treatment equipment for the Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cancer Treatment and Research.

- Chairperson: Provincial Minister for Communication and Works (C&W) Malik Sohaib Ahmad Bharth
- Participants: Officers from Transport, Communication and Works (C&W), Planning and Development (P&D) and other relevant departments serving as board members.
Key Decisions:
- Construction of various portions at Film City.
- Authorization of IDAP to serve as the executing agency for construction of residential accommodation for doctors at General Hospital Layyah.
- Approval of the lowest-bidding firm for procurement of Stereotactic Radiosurgery, Linear Accelerator Multi-Energy and Linear Accelerator Single-Energy machines for Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cancer Treatment and Research.

Malik Sohaib Ahmad Bharth emphasized that development and construction projects in Punjab are being executed with modern requirements in mind. He highlighted the government’s commitment to:
