ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – September 01, 2026) Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi on Tuesday visited various parts of the federal capital along with police teams amidst heavy rain, reviewing traffic conditions and directing officers to remain in the field to aid citizens and guarantee an immediate response to any emergency.

An official revealed that during the visit, the IGP scrutinized traffic situations on diverse roads and reviewed measures being implemented to facilitate citizens during the ongoing rainfall. Islamabad Police asserted that traffic was flowing smoothly across all major roads of the federal capital, while teams were working to drain accumulated rainwater from certain areas.

Rizvi instructed officers and personnel to maintain their presence in their designated areas and offer every possible assistance to individuals facing difficulties due to the rain. He ordered police teams to ensure a swift reaction to emergency calls and stay fully prepared to handle any situation arising from the heavy rainfall.

The IGP Rizvi also assessed field deployment and directed officers to harmonize their efforts for safeguarding citizens and preserving seamless traffic flow. Islamabad Police emphasized that its personnel remained active in the field, safeguarding lives and property, assisting road users, and responding to rain-related emergencies.
