IHC Issues Short Order Regarding Naval Farms, Sailing Club
ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – September 09, 2026) | A division bench of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday issued a short written order, in which it:
- Set aside the 2022 judgment of a single bench declaring Pakistan Navy’s Naval Farms and Naval Sailing Club along Rawal Lake illegal.
- Annulled the decision for demolition of the Naval Sailing Club building.
- Set aside directions concerning former Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi, including proceedings for alleged misconduct and criminal action against him.
- Set aside the direction to the Auditor General of Pakistan to assess loss caused to the national exchequer and recover it from responsible officials.
- Annulled the direction declaring illegal the transfer of land for the Naval Farms in the name of the Pakistan Navy Headquarters office.
The division bench stated that a detailed judgment explaining the reasons behind these decisions would be issued later. The single-bench judgment had been passed in 2022 by then IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah.
