Khyber Pakhtunkhwa | Information Minister

Shafi Jan responded to Federal Information Minister Ata Tarar’s challenge. He stated that they would arrive on their own terms.

In a reaction on X, Shafi Jan said, "We will come on our own terms; your screams indicate that Imran Khan and Sohail Afridi have prevailed."

Federal Information Minister Ata Tarar had claimed that fleeing from sit-ins demonstrated cowardice, adding, "If you have the courage, come and hold a sit-in. I have traveled through Khyber Pakhtunkhwa."

Tarar accused the PTI of making no preparations for a sit-in and subsequently fleeing the protest, challenging them to march.

He alleged that terrorists had attacked all political parties in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, but the provincial government had taken no action against them, adding that maintaining law and order was their responsibility.

In response, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Shafi Jan affirmed their intention to arrive on their own terms. He stated, "Your screams reveal that Imran Khan and Sohail Afridi have won."

Tarar further alleged that the PTI supported terrorists and provided them with full facilities, questioning their political legitimacy. He characterized Sohail Afridi as a commander of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) based on his words and actions, and accused the PTI of being the TTP’s "B team" and the TTA’s "C team."

He noted the visible law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while the provincial government seemed unaware.
