UrduPoint (30 September, 2026)
PESHAWAR, (APP) - Tribal leader Malik Saeed Afridi on Wednesday condemned the alleged use of derogatory language against Ghazi Ajab Khan Afridi, his tribe, and the broader tribal community. He called for a transparent inquiry and legal action against those responsible.
According to a statement issued by him, the remarks, allegedly made on social media, exceeded individual criticism, impacting the dignity and sentiments of the Afridi tribe.
Malik Saeed urged authorities to address this issue seriously:
Social media has become a platform for expression, but freedom of speech also entails respecting others' dignity. Differences should remain within decent boundaries. Targeting an entire tribe or community through remarks can create resentment and disrupt social harmony. Such matters must be handled legally and constitutionally, not through confrontation.
He recognized the significant historical place held by Ghazi Ajab Khan Afridi within his tribe and emphasized that any derogatory remarks could hurt their collective sentiments.
Malik Saeed demanded a transparent investigation to determine facts and hold accountable anyone found violating the law. He also called for peace and mutual respect, stressing the importance of upholding the dignity of the Afridi tribe and maintaining law and order through legal means.
