Interior Minister Pays Tribute to Martyrs, Armed Forces on Defence Day

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Defence Day paid tribute to Pakistan’s armed forces, martyrs, and veterans, stating that September 6 holds a pivotal place in the country’s defence history, marking the sacrifices made for its protection.
In his message, Naqvi highlighted the significance of September 6, 1965, when Pakistan’s armed forces successfully defended the homeland against aggression despite facing a numerically superior enemy. He described this day as a testament to the courage, commitment, and spirit displayed by both the military and the Pakistani people.
The minister honoured the martyrs, emphasizing that their sacrifices continue to inspire future generations. He noted how, during the 1965 war, Pakistan’s nation united, demonstrating determination and steadfastness in support of its armed forces.
Naqvi acknowledged the contributions of soldiers who laid down their lives defending Pakistan’s borders, assuring that their sacrifices ensured the country’s security and sovereignty, leaving a lasting legacy of national pride.
Referring to Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos, he praised its success, adding another significant chapter to Pakistan’s military history. The operation, he said, showcases the capability, commitment, and preparedness of Pakistan’s armed forces.
