"Tyson Fury says his long-awaited all-British heavyweight fight against Anthony Joshua in December is in jeopardy because of a row between rival promoters."
By Paul Battison, BBC Sport Journalist
Tyson Fury has claimed that the highly anticipated bout against Anthony Joshua might not happen due to a dispute involving promoters Eddie Hearn and Dana White.
Fury posted on Instagram:
"Anthony Joshua and Eddie Hearn are trying to pull out of this fight. They're saying they're not going to fight now," indicating Hearn's reluctance to work with White is the main issue.
He further accused Hearn of having an "ego" and creating "a million different things... threatening we're not going to fight."
Hearn, however, has been at odds with White since the launch of Zuffa Boxing this year and claims White's involvement in promoting the Fury-Joshua fight is a breach of contract.
Frank Warren, Fury's promoter, had previously credited White for securing the deal with Netflix following the official announcement of the fight.
This latest dispute comes after years of failed negotiations between the two camps, including a signed agreement for an undisputed heavyweight contest in 2021 which eventually led to Fury's third bout against Deontay Wilder.
