Karachi Police Arrest 894 Suspects, Kill 10 In Encounters During Week
Karachi Police arrested more than 894 suspects and killed 10 alleged robbers in 45 encounters across the city during the past week, according to a police spokesperson on Monday.
The encounters involved district police and suspected robbers, leaving 52 other suspects injured. A total of 64 suspects, including those injured, were arrested.
During these operations, police recovered:
- 62 illegal weapons of different types
- One car
- 23 motorcycles
Additionally, they seized substantial amounts of illicit drugs:
- 11.89 kilogrammes of hashish
- 3.186 kilogrammes of ice/crystal and heroin
Police also recovered 165 illegal weapons of various types, along with ammunition, allegedly used in street robberies and other crimes.
Further seizures included:
- 34 snatched or stolen motorcycles
- Three vehicles
