Karachi Police Deploy 6,065 Personnel For Chup Tazia Processions (UrduPoint)

Karachi police have finalised a comprehensive security plan for the Chup Tazia processions, with 6,065 police officers and personnel to be deployed at the two main processions in the city.
According to a Karachi police spokesperson on Friday, 3,745 personnel will be deployed for the procession scheduled to emerge from Nishtar Park in the morning, while 2,320 personnel will perform security duties for the procession emerging from Qasr-e-Musib during the day.
Under the security plan, special police deployments will be made for:
- Search parties
- CCTV control rooms
- Route security
- Rooftop duties
- Entry and exit points
- Return routes
- Other sensitive locations.
Police personnel will also be deployed at major hospitals as part of the security arrangements.
The spokesperson said all necessary measures had been completed to ensure:
- The safety of participants
- Effective checking
- Smooth traffic flow
- A prompt response to any emergency situation.
The Karachi police urged citizens to cooperate with security personnel and immediately report any suspicious activity or objects to the authorities.
