Kieran Hayler Denies All Charges
Kieran Hayler has claimed that his ex-wife, Katie Price, was "coaching" a 13-year-old girl he is accused of raping, according to testimony at Lewes Crown Court.
Hayler, 39, admitted sending photographs of messages from Price's phone, in which she discussed fantasies about him and the girl, stating, "I will make you a little star."
He faces three counts of rape and one count of sexual assault. He denies all allegations and claims they were "fabricated."
Hayler revealed that trust had shattered within his marriage to Price by mid-2013, and acknowledged affairs with three other women during their relationship. He characterized himself as "attracted to older women" in all his significant relationships.
The court previously heard messages from Price to the complainant, suggesting Hayler had kissed the girl and "tried it on" with her. Price described the messages as "a figure of speech."
Hayler explained his actions by stating, "I thought she was coaching her into [saying] something she shouldn't."
He pleaded not guilty to four alternative charges of sexual activity with a child, added for the jury's consideration.
The trial continues.
