KDA Discusses Master Plan For Sustainable Tourism in Kaghan Valley
MANSEHRA, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – September 10, 2026) The Kaghan Development Authority (KDA) has accelerated work on master plans for Kaghan, Naran, and Batakundi to promote sustainable tourism and improve facilities for tourists in the Kaghan Valley.
A meeting, chaired by KDA Chairman Jameel Ahmed, was held at the KDA headquarters on Thursday and attended by Director General Muhammad Shiraz, Assistant Director Planning Asad Shehzad, officials of the Urban Policy Unit of the Planning and Development Department, and consultants.
The meeting reviewed progress on the master planning projects and discussed tourism infrastructure, urban planning, environmental protection, and improved facilities for tourists and local residents. Officials also presented various proposals to make the master plans comprehensive and compatible with the valley’s natural environment.
KDA Chairman Jameel Ahmed and Director General Muhammad Shiraz directed the concerned officials to ensure that sustainable tourism, environmental protection, and the needs of tourists and local communities are given priority in the master plans. They also stressed timely completion of the planning process while keeping future requirements of the valley in view.
