Kinnow Growers Discuss Better Price and Export Mechanism
SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - September 27, 2026) A meeting was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office here on Sunday to discuss kinnow production, better prices for growers, and promotion of exports. The meeting was chaired by Kinnow Growers Association Convener Barrister Mohsin Shahnawaz Ranjha.
According to a press release, attendees discussed:
- Measures to ensure reasonable and better prices for kinnow growers ahead of the season.
- Procedures for opening borders to facilitate exports.
- Steps to make kinnow exports more effective.
Barrister Mohsin Shahnawaz Ranjha stated that efforts are underway to establish a practical mechanism for kinnow exports, with ongoing consultations with relevant departments and officials. He also mentioned plans to discuss the issues with the Prime Minister at an appropriate stage.
He emphasized the priority of protecting growers' interests, promoting the kinnow industry, and developing agriculture in Sargodha.
