Kohat Administration Cracks Down On Overpricing Following Citizen Complaint
UrduPoint (7th Sep, 2026) – Kohat district administration has taken swift action against overpricing, following a complaint lodged by a citizen through the Pakistan Citizen Portal. This action was initiated on the special directives of the Deputy Commissioner Kohat.
Acting on the complaint, the Assistant Commissioner Kohat inspected a restaurant mentioned in the complaint on Monday and launched legal proceedings against its management for violating pricing regulations. The move aimed to ensure adherence to officially notified rates and protect consumers from exploitation.
The district administration emphasized that they will continue their strict crackdown on profiteering and overpricing across the district. They assured that all necessary measures will be taken to ensure the availability of goods and services at prescribed rates, providing much-needed relief to the public.
