On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Kohat Muhammad Nawaz Wazir, official teams conducted inspection visits to revenue offices and educational institutions across the district on Wednesday. They assessed service delivery, examined official records, and reviewed fire safety arrangements.
Under the District Service Delivery Agenda, Additional Assistant Commissioner Revenue Ibrahim Khan inspected Patwar Khana Bhazadi Chakar Kot and Patwar Khana Alizai. Meanwhile, on directives from Secretary Relief Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Khan, Director Civil Defense KP Tariq Hussain and Deputy Commissioner Kohat, the Civil Defense Office launched fire safety inspections at educational institutions district-wide. According to a District Civil Defense spokesperson, teams assessed compliance with fire safety standards and reviewed emergency evacuation plans at schools and colleges.
Institutions found lacking adequate fire safety equipment were issued notices and ordered to address the deficiencies. Following compliance, Civil Defense teams will conduct specialized training sessions for students and staff on basic firefighting, rescue techniques, and first aid to enhance preparedness for emergencies.
