Kohat DPO Suspends Two Police Officials Over Alleged Misuse of Authority
Kohat DPO (District Police Officer) SSP Rai Mazhar Iqbal has taken departmental action against two police officials over alleged misuse of authority and violation of the departmental code of conduct, police sources said on Wednesday.
According to police sources, complaints were received regarding alleged misuse of powers by officials posted at Mills Police Station. Taking prompt action, the DPO suspended station clerk Hakim and assistant clerk Yasir and ordered departmental proceedings against them.
The DPO directed the concerned authorities to conduct proceedings in accordance with the law and departmental rules.
He emphasized that all police officers and personnel were required to perform their duties within the legal and regulatory framework and warned that abuse of authority or unlawful conduct would not be tolerated.
SSP Rai Mazhar Iqbal reiterated that accountability within Kohat Police would be ensured without discrimination and that strict departmental action would be taken against officials found involved in misconduct. He said maintaining public trust and ensuring discipline within the police force remained a priority.
