Kohat district administration, in collaboration with District Youth Office, organized a dignified ceremony at the District Council Hall marking Defence Day of Pakistan. Additional Deputy Commissioner General Hameed Iqbal served as the chief guest, alongside officials from various sectors and citizens from diverse backgrounds.
Schoolchildren delivered speeches and tableaux, highlighting the significance of September 6 in Pakistan’s history – a day filled with unity, courage, and sacrifice. Speakers emphasized that Pakistan belongs to all its citizens, and its survival and progress are a shared responsibility. They paid tribute to the sacrifices of martyrs and veterans, emphasizing their enduring legacy.
The ceremony stressed the importance of public-private collaboration for national security and peace. The need to educate younger generations about the sacrifices of martyrs and Pakistan’s defence history was also emphasized. The event concluded with prayers for the nation’s security and progress, followed by a Defence Day walk showcasing national solidarity.
