Kohat Residents Seek Immediate Relief From Prolonged Power Outages, Rising Bills

Kohat residents have appealed to the Minister for Power and senior officials of the electricity department to take immediate measures to address prolonged power outages and provide relief from soaring electricity bills. According to a written appeal on Tuesday, citizens highlighted the hardships caused by extended load-shedding during the ongoing summer heat, particularly affecting laborers, elderly people, and children.

The residents noted that prolonged power outages had disrupted daily life and made it increasingly difficult for families to cope with the intense heat. They expressed concern over rising electricity bills, which have become unaffordable for low-income households. The citizens stressed that while struggling to meet basic needs, these families are also burdened by inflated electricity bills and extended power cuts.

They urged authorities to swiftly improve power supply and provide relief to vulnerable communities. The residents called for timely intervention to ease public hardship, hoping for a prompt response from the government and electricity officials to restore basic comfort and dignity.
