Defence Minister Khawaja Asif stated that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister organized a protest to safeguard his position and oust Ali Amin Gandapur.
Speaking on a private television channel, Khawaja Asif remarked, "Fortunately, the federation faces no threat. These calls and commotion are within the PTI; everyone in the PTI is fighting for their own survival or interests." He further asserted that the PTI only has a handful of political members actively involved in violence, suggesting they are capable of resolving issues among themselves without external intervention.
Asif emphasized that the protest on September 27 was an internal conflict within the PTI, not directed against the government. He declined to comment on Sharjeel Memon’s statements.
