KP CM Visits Family Of Five-year-old Ayat Noor In Haripur, Offers Heartfelt Condolences Over Tragedy

Peshawar, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 29th Aug, 2026) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi on Saturday visited the home of five-year-old Ayat Noor, who was tragically assaulted and killed. During the visit, the Chief Minister expressed his heartfelt condolences and solidarity with the bereaved family.

He stated that those involved in such heinous crimes would face the strictest punishment, emphasizing the need for firm action to prevent future incidents.

The Chief Minister announced the launch of a Safe City project in Haripur at an estimated cost of nearly Rs2 billion. He also praised the police for their successful investigation and the district administration for their support.

He directed relevant authorities to amend the Child Protection Act and strengthen existing laws to better protect children. During the visit, he handed over a financial assistance cheque to Ayat Noor’s father and announced a government job offer.

Furthermore, the Chief Minister announced that the high school in Pathan Colony would be named after Ayat Noor and a resolution would be presented in the next provincial assembly session to name the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Child Protection Bill after her.

The Chief Minister was accompanied by Information Minister Shafi Jan, Provincial Parliamentary Leader Akbar Ayub Khan, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Yousaf Ayub Khan, Provincial Education Minister Arshad Ayub Khan, Special Assistant Malik Adil Iqbal, PTI Tehsil President Faisal Khan Turk, PTI District President Raja Ehtisham, General Secretary Allah Yar Khan, and other local leaders.
