KP Food Department Intensifies Monitoring Of Government Flour Supply In Batagram, Haripur

KP Food Department has intensified inspections of flour mills, wheat warehouses and authorized flour dealers in Batagram and Haripur to ensure the availability of quality government-supplied flour at officially fixed rates.

In Batagram, on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Shoaib, Food Inspector Musharraf Jamal conducted surprise inspections of flour mills and authorized dealers, checking records, wheat and flour distribution systems, quality, weight and moisture levels. The availability of flour and records at authorized dealers were found satisfactory.

District Food Controller Batagram Shaukat Sultan stated that a 20-kilogram bag of government flour was available through authorized dealers across the district at Rs. 2,520.

Meanwhile, Deputy Director Food Hazara Division Ansar Qayyum visited Haripur, inspecting flour mills, authorized dealers, the district Food Department office and wheat warehouses. He reviewed wheat stocks, quality, records, production and distribution of government flour, as well as its weight and moisture levels.

The supply records of authorized dealers were verified through the ICT App, while the functioning of CCTV cameras installed at relevant facilities was checked as part of the monitoring system. District Food Controller Haripur Muhammad Tariq and other Food Department officials accompanied him.

Ansar Qayyum directed flour mills and dealers to ensure the timely availability of quality flour at the prescribed weight and official price, stressing that negligence in providing relief to citizens would not be tolerated.
