KP Reviews Progress On Revenue Reforms, Land Records Digitization

progress
on the proposed reforms and digital transformation of the
board
of Revenue, focusing on implementation of decisions taken at the working group’s first meeting.
Revenue and Estate Minister Tariq Mahmood Arifani chaired the second meeting of the Working Group on Board of Revenue Reforms and Digital Transformation in
Peshawar.
The meeting examined progress on reforms in the Board of Revenue and the ongoing digitization of the land record system.
Officials also briefed the participants on steps taken to implement earlier decisions.
The minister stated that modernizing the Board of Revenue and digitizing land records were key government priorities aimed at improving transparency, efficiency, and public access to services. He directed the relevant authorities to accelerate implementation, improve coordination among departments, and ensure that the reform process delivered practical benefits to citizens.
Tariq emphasized that the government would regularly monitor progress on the working group’s decisions to ensure timely achievement of reform targets.
The meeting was attended by MNAs Muhammad Atif Khan and Arbab Sher Ali, Managing Director KPITB, technical expert Khalid Saeed, and senior officials from the Board of Revenue and Directorate of Land Records.
