KTH Temporarily Suspends Free Medical Services for Senior Citizens
PESHAWAR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 11th Sep, 2026) The administration of Khyber Teaching Hospital (KTH) has temporarily suspended free medical services for senior citizens, prompting concern among elderly patients who regularly receive treatment at the facility.
The hospital administration stated that this step was taken temporarily and they plan to introduce a new policy for providing medical services to senior citizens. They have also submitted a proposal to the Governor for establishing an executive clinic. Under this arrangement, KTH intends to offer medical services to senior citizens through the executive clinic.
Citizens have expressed their concern regarding the suspension and are urging the hospital administration to maintain free treatment for the elderly until an alternative is implemented.
