Lahore: Two Held for Selling Sensitive Data of Over 10 Million Citizens

The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has arrested two suspects allegedly operating a "Mini NADRA" website in Lahore.
Arrests and Recovered Data
The suspects, identified as Arslan and Ali Raza, were arrested by the NCCIA Lahore, which recovered three terabytes of sensitive data from their possession. It was revealed that the personal data of over 10 million citizens had been illegally obtained and sold in Lahore.
The recovered data included:
- SIM ownership and registration records
- Call detail records (CDRs)
- SIM databases
- Citizens’ location data
- Citizens’ family trees
- Information related to various government institutions.
Allegations and Further Details
The suspects allegedly established the "Mini NADRA" website to provide NADRA-related information. They were also involved in illegally buying and selling sensitive data and accessing a platform called "Khoji".
Two mobile phones were also recovered from the suspects. Forensic analysis of the three terabytes of data is ongoing, with further arrests expected.
