LDA DG Visits Various Points On Ferozepur Road to Review Ongoing Works
LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Sep, 2026) LDA Director General (DG) Tahir Farooq visited various points along Ferozepur Road on Saturday. He inspected the ongoing upgrade works at the Abdul Sattar Edhi Underpass and along Ferozepur Road.
DG LDA Tahir Farooq reviewed the beautification, repair, and rehabilitation activities at the Abdul Sattar Edhi Underpass, as well as the pilot revamping project underway at the Gajumata stop on Ferozepur Road.
Speaking on the occasion, the DG stated that the LDA is working on "urban regeneration" along a 15-kilometer stretch of Ferozepur Road, covering both sides of the thoroughfare. The upgrade work from Canal Bank Road to the Ring Road will be carried out in phases. Improvements will include:
- Construction of footpaths
- Development of parking areas
- Enhancement of building facades and signage along the road
- Creation of parking and seating areas beneath flyovers and bridges
- Removal of encroachments, dangling wires, and illegal signage
The DG also directed that parking facilities and traffic remodeling be implemented outside hospitals located along Ferozepur Road.
