Legal Fraternity Vital to Rule of Law, Rights Protection: PM Gilani

Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister (AJK PM) Barrister Iftikhar Gilani emphasized the crucial role of the legal fraternity in upholding the rule of law, safeguarding citizens' rights, and ensuring access to justice. This was expressed during a meeting with a delegation from the Central Bar Association (CBA), led by its President, Raja Zaigham Iftikhar.
According to an APP correspondent, the PM highlighted lawyers' significant contributions to promoting democratic values, protecting constitutional rights, and reinforcing the rule of law in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. He assured the delegation that the government would prioritize addressing the challenges faced by the legal community.
The CBA delegation presented their concerns regarding the issues confronting the legal fraternity to the Prime Minister.
In a separate meeting with PML-N leader Raja Zafar Iqbal Khan, President of the Neelum Valley Human Rights Protection Association, Prime Minister Iftikhar Gilani emphasized his government's commitment to developing remote areas, including Neelum Valley. He recognized the valley's tourism potential and advocated for improving road infrastructure to boost the local economy.
