Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi stated that Rana Sanaullah claimed the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) intended to bring terrorists, yet emphasized that the PTI was a peaceful party. He accused individuals like Rana Sanaullah of crafting such narratives to pursue political agendas, adding:
"Listen, Rana Sanaullah! If you fire, let the first bullet hit me. If you shoot any worker, I will make your life unbearable."
Afridi made these remarks while addressing parliamentary representatives and ticket holders from Punjab at the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House regarding the Punjab Street Movement. He aimed to strategize the street movement in Punjab.
He allowed one hour for representatives from all regions of Punjab to share their preferences regarding his presence during the movement. Afridi confirmed participating wherever they decided to take him.
The Chief Minister asserted that their gathering was not confined to Punjab but relevant for all of Pakistan, emphasizing that their mandate had been stolen and "Modi’s friends" had been installed in power. He referred to Punjab’s "fake chief minister," who, he claimed, feared her own provinces rather than India, insulting Pakistan’s state narrative and disgracing the country globally.
Afridi reminded them that this wasn’t the first instance of such behavior, citing the Dawn Leaks incident, and now her statements were broadcast by Indian media as proof of Pakistan’s lies. He urged people to overcome their fear, drawing inspiration from Hazrat Khalid bin Walid’s resilience.
Reiterating his point about Rana Sanaullah’s allegations, Afridi stressed that the PTI stood for peace and had never engaged in illegal or unconstitutional acts during its 126-day sit-in from 1996 to present. He attributed Imran Khan’s teachings of struggle within constitutional boundaries to their peaceful political campaign set for September 27th, as permitted by the Constitution.
