LUMHS Launches Paperless, Computerized Examination System
Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS), Jamshoro, has formally launched a modern, paperless, and computerized examination system to ensure transparency, merit, security, and timely result preparation.
According to the university administration, this new system aligns with the Sindh government's policy and the directives of LUMHS Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Ikram Din Ujjan. The initiative is seen as a significant step towards modernizing medical education.
Under the new system, examination centers in Jamshoro and various districts of Sindh are connected to a centralized system, utilizing modern technology for monitoring the exam process. Secure networks and dedicated computer terminals are being employed to safeguard examination material and student data.
The university assesses students' theoretical and practical skills through OSPE (Online Subject Evaluation Protocol) and computer-based examinations. Students and faculty members have welcomed this modern approach, describing it as convenient, efficient, and time-saving, while hoping it will further promote transparency and impartiality in the examination process.
The digital exam system is expected to streamline the conduct, monitoring, data protection, and result preparation processes, making them more organized and efficient.
