It has been decided to introduce important reforms to make the examination system more transparent and uniform in Punjab education boards.

According to the details, the quality and difficulty level of examination papers will be kept consistent across all boards, and students’ performance in each subject will be regularly reviewed.

Chairman CM Task Force Muzammil Mahmood stated that a system of examiner reports will be implemented to generate reports based on student performance post-exams, enabling detailed analysis of individual student performance in each subject. Previously, the difficulty ratio of examination papers from different education boards varied.

To ensure transparency, a proposal is under consideration to establish examination centers within major government institutions’ halls, with strict monitoring arrangements in place.

Marking process improvements include enhanced facilities and a reviewed marking scheme. Paper checkers will have uniform remuneration across all educational boards, with an online payment system planned once marking is complete. Effective training for paper checkers and super checkers will also be ensured. Additionally, the schedule for announcing matriculation and intermediate results will be rearranged.

Mahmood further emphasized that the primary objective of these examination reforms is to enhance transparency and improve student performance evaluation.
