Man Arrested For Causing Death Of Minor Daughter

Kotli Loharan: Police have arrested a man wanted in a case involving the alleged torture and subsequent death of his three-year-old daughter, on the directions of DPO Sialkot, Captain (Retd.) Dost Muhammad.
According to police, the incident took place on September 11 in Chak Mandahir, where the complainant, Kiran Shehzadi, alleged that the accused, Adnan Rashid, slammed his three-year-old daughter onto the floor during a domestic dispute, causing serious head injuries.
Police registered FIR No. 602/26 under Sections 302 and 324 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) after receiving information about the incident and shifted the injured child to Civil Hospital Sialkot for treatment. The child succumbed to her injuries on September 12 while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
DPO Sialkot Captain (Retd.) Dost Muhammad directed the investigating officer to conduct the probe transparently and in accordance with the law. He also directed that the case be effectively prosecuted on the basis of medical, scientific, and other available evidence.
