Man Sentenced to Death in Murder Case
UrduPoint (October 07, 2026) - An Additional and Sessions Court in Burewala has awarded sentences to the accused in a murder case. The main accused, Muzammil Hussain, was sentenced to death for killing Muhammad Shehzad.
Judge Shaukat Ali also ordered Muzammil Hussain to pay Rs2 million as compensation to the deceased's heirs.
Another accused, Akhtar Hussain, was sentenced to 10 years' rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 50,000, along with compensation of Rs 967,619 for the injured person.
The court also ordered:
- Abdul Ghaffar to pay a fine of Rs 967,619 and Rs 25,000 as Daman.
- Ehsan to pay Rs80,000.
- Muhammad Farooq to pay Rs 65,000.
- Waqar Aziz to pay Rs25,000 as compensation to the injured persons.
Police sources reported that three accused were already in custody, while four others, previously released on bail, were arrested at the court premises after the verdict.
