Man, Wife Held For Killing 80-year-old Father
Police arrested a man and his wife for allegedly killing his 80-year-old father in the Gujjarpura area over a property dispute.
According to a police spokesperson on Friday, the victim, Muhammad Azeem, was allegedly shot dead by his son. The suspects fled the scene after the incident.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Investigation Lahore, Syed Zeeshan Raza, took notice of the incident and directed the police to arrest the suspects.
A police team led by Gujjarpura Investigation In-charge Mumtaz Hussain arrested the suspects with the help of human intelligence and other investigative techniques, the spokesperson said.
DIG Zeeshan Raza stated that the suspects were in police custody and directed the investigation officers to complete the investigation and submit a comprehensive challan to ensure that the accused were prosecuted in accordance with the law. SSP Muhammad Naveed announced certificates of appreciation for the police team for arresting the suspects.
