Martyred Sepoy Sami-ur-Rehman Laid To Rest With Military Honors in Batkhela
MALAKAND, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Sep, 2026) The funeral prayers and formal burial of martyred Sepoy Sami-ur-Rehman of 113-Wing were offered at his ancestral graveyard in Village Meena, located in Tehsil Batkhela, here Sunday.
Sepoy Sami-ur-Rehman embraced martyrdom on September 17 following an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) explosion while performing his operational duties in Arwaza Sector of Central Kurram district. He sacrificed his life in the line of duty while actively protecting the homeland.
The solemn ceremony was attended by a large gathering of military personnel, civil officials, and community members, including Col. Hammad of Pakistan Army Malakand Fort, Assistant Commissioner Batkhela Shakeel Ahmed, Subedar Major of Frontier Constabulary (FC), and Subedar Major of Malakand Levies Naik Rehman. Local political and social figures, dignitaries, and resident citizens were also present to pay their final respects.
During the service, attendees offered prayers for the martyr, extended deep condolences to his grieving relatives, and prayed for family to bear the loss with patience and fortitude.
