There, they staged a powerful display near the port, blocking roads and glaringly staring at motorists and officers.
This new style of protest, a game-changer in British politics, resembles tactics employed by environmental groups like Just Stop Oil, but also draws inspiration from Christian nationalism in the U.S.
Thomas, the group’s main organizer, views these actions as a warning and aims to build a working-class voting bloc to influence political parties.
The Home Secretary, Shabana Mahmood, has addressed these developments, urging police to fully utilize their powers against activists wearing face coverings, as these scenes cause disruption and instill fear in residents.
