Mayor Karachi Visits Spencer Eye Hospital, Reviews Medical Facilities

Mayor Karachi, Barrister Murtaza Wahab, on Monday visited Spencer Eye Hospital and inspected the medical facilities, including various wards, the store room, and other departments. KMC Adviser for Finance Gulzar Abro, doctors, paramedical staff, and other concerned officers were present.

Barrister Murtaza reviewed the eye treatment facilities available at the hospital and interacted with patients waiting for treatment, inquiring about their experiences and the services provided.

The Mayor inquired about treatment costs, and patients confirmed that their care was free of charge. They expressed satisfaction with the medical facilities.

Barrister Murtaza Wahab stated:

"Spencer Eye Hospital is a crucial medical institution for Karachiites, offering modern eye care. Providing quality, up-to-date medical facilities to our citizens is our primary focus, and we are modernizing KMC hospitals for this purpose.

Efforts are underway to bring quality healthcare closer to citizens. Patients at Spencer Eye Hospital are benefiting from improved environments and treatment options."

He emphasized the commitment to enhancing hospital capacity and utilizing resources effectively to improve healthcare services under the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation.

During his tour, the Mayor examined cleanliness, patient facilities, medication, and other arrangements across the hospital. He directed officers to ensure patient comfort and timely, quality treatment.

Mayor Wahab added:

"It’s imperative to offer citizens visiting government hospitals a pleasant environment, prompt medical attention, and quality care. Negligence in these areas will not be tolerated.

We are not only enhancing basic facilities in KMC hospitals but also introducing modern equipment and treatment methods. Spencer Eye Hospital, along with all KMC facilities, will be updated to meet the needs of Karachiites."
