Meher Bano Qureshi Condemns Shafi Jan’s Criticism Of Maryam Nawaz, Demands Apology

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf MNA from Multan and daughter of former Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Meher Bano Qureshi, has condemned criticism of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Shafi Jan.
In a statement posted on social media, Meher Bano Qureshi said there was much that could be criticised about Maryam Nawaz, but using unparliamentary and indecent language against her was wrong and insulting. She demanded that Shafi Jan withdraw his words and apologise.
"The disgraceful conduct witnessed in the Punjab Assembly reflects the upbringing of the members involved," she said, adding that politicians should not stoop to that level.
