An ongoing dispute between renowned actress Momina Iqbal and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Punjab Assembly member Saqib Chadhar took an interesting turn when Chadhar openly discussed his position on the controversy during journalist Irshad Bhatti‘s podcast.
Did Momina Iqbal prepare you for the election? Irshad Bhatti asked, while Saqib Chadhar replied, "If she did tell me, then thank you very much; I will not comment on it. Whatever she is saying is all a lie. My mother taught me how to conduct myself. Momina Iqbal is not my mother."
Responding to the allegations against him, Chadhar accused Momina Iqbal of playing the woman card and warned that if his wife recorded a podcast, "those playing the woman card would, believe me, become unable to go out of their homes."
Referring to Momina Iqbal‘s Instagram story, Irshad Bhatti stated, "Momina claims that if she makes public just a 50-second voice note from your wife, this entire narrative will collapse." He further noted her claim that an open-marriage system had developed in Pakistan where both sides tried to protect each other.
In response, Saqib Chadhar defended his wife and recited the Kalima, "There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah! I have not seen my wife miss a single prayer from after the 2019 Hajj until today, whereas I have never seen this Momina offer even one prayer." During the podcast, Chadhar also admitted that he fell in love with Momina at first sight.
