ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Sep, 2026) More rain-wind/thundershowers are expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Punjab, Islamabad, and northeastern Balochistan on Wednesday, with heavy rainfall and hailstorm likely at isolated places, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
Weather Forecast:
- Partly cloudy weather is anticipated in other plain areas of the country.
- Heavy rains from tonight until September 17 may lead to urban flooding in low-lying areas of Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Mardan, Swabi, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Sialkot, Faisalabad, and Lahore.
- Flash floods may occur in local streams and nullahs in Dir, Chitral, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Battagram, Buner, Malakand, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Murree, Galiyat, Islamabad, and Rawalpindi, as well as hill torrents in Dera Ghazi Khan.
- Landslides are possible in hilly areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Murree, Galiyat, and Kashmir.
- Windstorms, hailstorms, and lightning could damage structures, including solar panels, electric poles, and billboards, during the forecast period.

Rain-wind/thundershowers likely in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Abbottabad, Buner, Malakand, Peshawar, Charsadda, Mardan, Swabi, Nowshera, Kohat, Hangu, Parachinar, Kurram, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Karak, Lakki Marwat, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan, and Waziristan. Isolated heavy rainfall and hailstorm anticipated.
Punjab:
- Partly cloudy weather in most districts. Rain-wind/thundershowers expected in Murree, Galiyat, Jhelum, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Narowal, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Kasur, Okara, Khushab, Sargodha, Mianwali, Faisalabad, Chiniot, Jhang, Sahiwal, Toba Tek Singh, Bhakkar, Noorpur Thal, Layyah, Taunsa, Rajanpur, Multan, Khanewal, Vehari, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, and adjoining areas. Isolated heavy rainfall and hailstorm possible.
Sindh:
- Hot and dry weather in most districts. Coastal areas may be partly cloudy with rain in Karachi, Thatta, and adjoining areas.
Balochistan:
- Hot and humid weather in most districts. Coastal areas expected to be partly cloudy. Rain-wind/thunderstorms anticipated in Zhob, Musakhel, Barkhan, Sherani, Dera Bugti, Kohlu, and Khuzdar during the afternoon, with isolated heavy rainfall and hailstorm possible.
