MoS/SAPM Fahd Haroon Discusses Evolving Digital Media Landscape With Media Representatives

ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 10th Sep, 2026) Minister of State/Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Digital Media, Fahd Haroon, on Thursday held an interactive session with media representatives at his office to discuss the evolving digital media landscape and the opportunities and challenges emerging from the rapid growth of digital platforms.

The discussion focused on:

  • Emerging trends in digital journalism
  • The changing dynamics of the media industry
  • Challenges including fake news, misinformation and disinformation
  • Strengthening media engagement in the digital sphere

Fahd Haroon highlighted the growing influence of digital platforms in shaping public discourse and emphasized the importance of:

  • Constructive digital narratives

He noted that Pakistan’s digital transformation offers significant opportunities, especially for its young and technology-driven population, and reaffirmed his commitment to contributing towards the government’s digital agenda.

Haroon also highlighted Pakistan’s strong position in the global freelance economy, recognizing the country’s growing potential as a hub for digital talent and technology-enabled economic opportunities.

He exchanged views with media representatives on the future of digital journalism and the need for the media sector to adapt to rapidly evolving technologies and changing patterns of news consumption.
