The petitioner sought permission to present videos, audio recordings and documents before the court, which had assured her of protection.

Peshawar High Court Hearing

The petition filed by the accused’s mother was heard by Justice Arshad Ali and Justice Babar Sattar.

Her lawyer argued that Mumtaz, who had been declared a proclaimed offender, had been arrested through Interpol and brought to Peshawar where he allegedly met his end in a police encounter.

He further stated that during a previous hearing, the court had directed that protection be provided to Mumtaz. The Additional Advocate General confirmed that an FIR had been registered into the incident and two police officers had been injured.

Request for Evidence Submission

During the hearing, the petitioner’s lawyer requested permission to submit videos, audio recordings, and documents before the court. The Peshawar High Court granted this request and adjourned the hearing.
