Municipal Corporation Rawalpindi Takes Action Against Buffalo Sheds Along Nullah Lai
RAWALPINDI, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 10th Sep, 2026) On the directives of Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi, Captain (Retd) Nadeem Nasir, the Municipal Corporation Rawalpindi has launched action against buffalo sheds established in various parts of the city, particularly along Nullah Lai.
Municipal Corporation’s MO Regulation (MOR) Imran Ali, along with the relevant staff, inspected buffalo sheds in different areas and sealed several sheds found in violation of rules and regulations.
The action was initiated following demands from citizens after the recent flood situation, as the presence of buffalo sheds and accumulation of animal waste along Nullah Lai were affecting cleanliness and raising concerns about obstruction to the natural flow of rainwater.
According to sources, the operation aims to improve cleanliness along Nullah Lai, remove inappropriate livestock enclosures and address problems faced by residents. The administration is likely to continue action against buffalo sheds violating the relevant regulations.
Citizens welcomed the action and urged the authorities to continue the operation for removal of illegal encroachments and improvement of cleanliness and drainage arrangements along Nullah Lai.
