MUST To Become World-class Education, Research Hub Of AJK, Pakistan: VC

Newly appointed Vice Chancellor of Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST), Professor Dr. Anwar Khattab, has stated that concerted efforts are underway to transform the university into a modern educational and research institution of international standards.
During an informal interaction with senior Kashmiri journalists, including Kashmir Press Club President Syed Abid Hussain Shah and Altaf Hamid Rao, at his office, the Vice Chancellor highlighted making MUST one of the country’s leading institutions in education, research, and modern technology as a top priority.
Professor Dr. Anwar Khattab noted that academic activities at the university had been disrupted by strikes and protests, resulting in academic losses for students. Nonetheless, he attributed much of the successful overcoming of these losses to the commitment, hard work, and cooperation of faculty members and students. He assured that the administration was striving to ensure uninterrupted academic activities and examinations for students.
To support students affected by travel difficulties due to prevailing circumstances, the Vice Chancellor announced arrangements for holding examinations in Poonch for those from the area who could not travel to Mirpur. He also emphasized practical measures to provide maximum facilities and promptly address student concerns.
Dr. Khattab defined university development beyond buildings and infrastructure, emphasizing quality education, modern research, enhanced student capabilities, and international recognition. He expressed appreciation for the dedication of teachers and students during challenging times and resolved to steer MUST towards further progress through discipline, cooperation, and hard work. His ultimate goal is to establish MUST as a distinguished educational and research institution in AJK and Pakistan, bringing it in line with global standards.
