My Salary Is Rs500,000, But I Cannot Make Ends Meet On It

PML-N MPA Tahir Jameel expressed his wonder over how the working class manages household expenses, rent, healthcare costs, and children’s expenses on a salary of Rs50,000.
"My salary is Rs500,000, but I cannot make ends meet on this salary."
He highlighted that even factory workers and laborers around them earn Rs50,000, making it difficult to imagine running a household while meeting healthcare needs.
Earlier, PML-N MNA Shumaila Rana had raised concerns about the insufficiency of current salaries for lawmakers, suggesting that they should be at least Rs1 million per month. She noted the lack of additional facilities provided to them by the government or Parliament.
