NADRA Offices Accused Of Charging Umrah Pilgrims Thousands Extra For Vaccination

Citizens allege that NADRA offices are charging up to Rs7,000 without receipts for vaccinations and related documents required for Umrah.
According to a private tv channel, affected citizens say they are being asked to pay additional amounts while obtaining the vaccinations and related documents needed for Umrah, without clear details or official receipts.
Citizens reported that at NADRA facilitation centres, they are informed of extra fees for various services. Some pilgrims alleged being charged significantly more than the prescribed government fee, causing difficulties, especially for elderly citizens and women.
The influenza vaccination fee through the Pak ID app is Rs1,720, while the meningitis vaccination fee is Rs2,785, totaling Rs4,505. However, NADRA centres allegedly charge Rs7,000 for the vaccines.
Affected individuals demanded that authorities:
- Take immediate notice of the matter.
- Prominently display official fees for vaccination and services at NADRA centres.
- Provide clear details of any additional fees.
- Investigate complaints of overcharging and take action against culprits.
- Ensure proper mechanisms for swift complaint resolution.
Umrah pilgrims appealed to authorities to monitor fee and service systems during the Hajj and Umrah season to protect citizens from financial burdens.
