Naqvi Inaugurates Upgraded Aabpara Police Station, Calls For Better Public Service
ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – September 09, 2026) Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Tuesday inaugurated the upgraded Aabpara Police Station after its renovation and reconstruction, marking another step in improving police stations in the Federal capital.
During his visit, the minister toured different sections of the police station and reviewed the facilities available for citizens. He inspected the Station House Officer (SHO) office, Dispute Resolution Committee (DRC), inquiry office, waiting area, and other sections. He also examined the services provided at the station’s public counters.
Naqvi expressed satisfaction with the arrangements for complainants and visitors. He met members of the DRC and commended their role in resolving public issues through dialogue and mediation.
Speaking on the occasion, the interior minister stated that the project aimed to provide citizens with a modern, respectful, and public-focused policing environment. He emphasized that every effort should be made to address the concerns of those who visit police stations for assistance.
The minister directed police officials to ensure prompt action on every complaint submitted by citizens. He stressed that no citizen should face unnecessary delays or difficulties in registering a First Information Report (FIR).
Naqvi also instructed police personnel to maintain a courteous and responsible attitude toward the public visiting police stations. He emphasized that public service and timely response to complaints should remain a priority.
During the visit, he was briefed on the upgradation work carried out at the police station and the facilities introduced as part of the renovation project.
Senior police officers, including the Inspector General (IG) of Islamabad Police, the Deputy Inspector General (DIG), the Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations), and other officials were present.
