Nation Marks Defence Day With Flag Hoisting, Rallies, Tributes To Martyrs

A dignified main event was held here on Sunday to mark the Defence Day of Pakistan, featuring flag hoisting, a ceremonial salute, and vibrant student performances to pay tribute to the country’s armed forces and martyrs.

Events:

  • A special photo exhibition inaugurated by Member of National Assembly Ms. Iram Hamid Hameed at the Arts Council gallery showcased pictures depicting national defense and the sacrifices of martyrs.
  • School and college students presented national songs, speeches, and tableaus highlighting national spirit and love for the homeland.
  • A grand rally was taken out from the Arts Council led by Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry and attended by MNA Ms. Iram Hamid Hameed, former MNA Chaudhry Hamid Hameed, PML-N Sargodha President and former MPA Chaudhry Abdul Razaq Dhillon, district administration officers, teachers, students, civil defense volunteers, and citizens.

Speeches:

Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry stated that September 6 is an unforgettable chapter in Pakistan’s history, highlighting the bravery and national unity demonstrated during the 1965 war. He emphasized that the sacrifices of martyrs serve as a guiding beacon, and national unity and hard work will make Pakistan stronger and more prosperous.

MNA Ms. Iram Hamid Hameed, former MNA Chaudhry Hamid Hameed, and Chaudhry Abdul Razaq Dhillon also addressed the gathering, paying tributes to the martyrs and reaffirming their commitment to national security. The ceremony concluded with special prayers for the country’s security, stability, and prosperity, as well as for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs.
