PTI founder’s adviser Zulfi Bukhari has stated that Pakistan has witnessed never seen such a large-scale illegal crackdown before, branding it as shameful. He accused lawmakers and senators of being abducted outside Parliament, questioning its equivalence worldwide.
In a post on X, Bukhari noted that Hammad Azhar remains missing after 20 days, denied access to his lawyer and family. His 75-year-old mother has resorted to approaching the Lahore High Court for justice and a meeting with her son. Meanwhile, Bukhari alleged, National Assembly members and senators are being abducted outside Parliament.
He further shared a video showing the abduction of Fazal Shakoor Khan, a three-time caretaker and current provincial minister from Peshawar, in broad daylight.
Bukhari accused agencies of employing such tactics ahead of a planned protest on May 27, asking where else in the world such actions could be witnessed, with even women and children not being spared.
