Dubai Airports authorities have revolutionized travel with an unprecedented facility, ‘Click and Travel’. This system allows airport staff to complete all procedures for passengers’ arrival and departure using mobile devices, eliminating the need for traditional counters.
According to Gulf media, Dubai Airport officials stated that:
- The advanced system employs facial recognition for biometric and facial identification of passengers.
- Handheld devices can scan e-passports in seconds through electronic passport reading.
- Securely connected systems facilitate immediate data transfer to government and security databases.
As a result, travelers will no longer face long queues at passport control counters. Airport staff will verify passenger details directly through their mobile devices, minimizing waiting times significantly.
