No Religion Permits Violence, Perpetrators To Be Dealt With Iron Hand: CM Maryam Nawaz

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Saturday stated that no religion endorses or condones violence, emphasizing that acts of violence based on faith or religious beliefs are highly reprehensible. In her message on the International Day Commemorating the Victims of Acts of Violence Based on Religion or Belief, she highlighted the global targeting of Muslims due to rising Islamophobia.

Maryam Nawaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to equal rights and protection for all believers, noting that the white color in the national flag symbolizes minority communities. She strongly condemned extremist elements, assuring that anyone taking the law into their hands against minorities would face severe consequences, adding that the provincial government remains dedicated to promoting religious tolerance and protecting victims of discrimination.
